A study of 20,000 people has shown a stark difference in generational attitudes in Australian society.
The online study by Nestle has found:
- 67% of Generation Z are focused on ‘living in the moment’, however they felt the most overwhelmed, with ¾ feeling stressed by their daily life.
- The most relaxed were those in the 73+ age group.
- Older Aussies were also more likely to be involved in the community, 73% said they felt connected to others.
- Just 52% of Millennials said they felt connected to wider society.
- Gen X came in as the least happy group with only 59% reporting they felt satisfied.
Overall, friends and family were ranked as more valuable than money, with 93% of respondents ranking good relationships as most important above all else.
